“I first began painting tables in 1961 when I gave a grand dinner party using a black cashmere shawl as a tablecloth. Left alone with the remains… I thought of a lesson of my master Hans Hoffman: “Less is more. More is less.” – Joseph Plaskett

Joseph Plaskett is a Canadian painter who studied with many prominent Canadian painters like A.Y. Jackson, Jack Shadbolt, Lawren Harris and Jock Macdonald in the 1940’s. Since the 1940s, he has had over 65 solo and group exhibitions, with work in major public, private and corporate collections.
