June McCormack was born in London England in 1921. Daughter to famous Canadian painters Kenneth Forbes and Jean Mary Edgell, she studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design. June served with the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War.

During her brilliant painting career McCormack had the great opportunity to paint a number of political and public figures, of which two portraits are hung in the Ontario Legislature.
